That observation became a question. That question became a purpose. And that purpose became Tea1888.
What Tea1888 Stands For
The name 1888 is a nod to the year tea cultivation first took root in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh one of India's most celebrated and naturally gifted tea-growing regions. We source every leaf from these same misty Himalayan foothills today. We didn't inherit this story. We chose it, because we believe the best tea in the world deserves to be in every Indian home.
The Kangra Valley sits in the lower Himalayas at an elevation that creates the perfect conditions for tea, cool temperatures, mineral-rich soil, and clean mountain air. Teas grown here carry a natural lightness and depth that mass-produced teas simply cannot replicate. At Tea1888, we work directly with growers in this region to source freshly plucked, high-quality leaves then craft them into blends that are honest, pure, and purposeful. No fillers. No dust.
